Nancy Breeden2024-02-08I am so happy I found John Tonyan. I have very old upright piano that needed lots of work. He was determined to bring it back to life. Completely overhauled it and by end of day I heard him playing it! The new sound made me cry tears of joy. He keeps a record of things needed for future. I’ve had him back again to stay on top of repairs. Very professional, honest, reliable. Highly recommend. Treats pianos with respect no matter what type you have. I didn't understand the complexity of a piano, all the moving parts and how a really skilled man as John is explained all the workings of the pianos. Wow!!! A completely different and beautiful sound that came from the piano after his expert knowledge. Donna and I are so very happy. We decided to have John to get them in a reasonable or better than the sound we were getting. After John was done it surely changed our attitudes about wanting to practice, so beautiful the sounds they make and the quiet playing stood out as much as the crescendo. Can't say enough, John is the MAN! Very pleasant on time and stayed until the the job was finished. Will need 1 more tune up on the older grand which was suspected because it hadn't been worked on for 40 years! Thanks so much! Looking to finish the job soon to get one better than new for sure!!! Shelley M.2023-11-06John does amazing work! My piano is almost 100 years old and hadn't been tuned in just over 20 years. I knew it needed work, but I had no idea how extensive the repairs were. From the beginning, John asked how much work I wanted to put into the piano, giving me options to save money. I love my piano and wanted to see it the best it could be. After the first visit, the piano sounded absolutely amazing! It needed more work, but John was sure to leave it in tune so that I could enjoy playing until the next appointment. I didn't think it would sound much better, but after the second appointment, it did! Since I told John that I love knowing how things work, he described the work he was doing at nearly every step. He was very pleasant to talk to as he worked and wasn't bothered by any questions that I or my husband had. My husband and I are so pleased with the job John has done. I am playing so much more than I used to because my piano sounds so much better. We are so thankful to have found his service. Steve Smith2023-10-30John's not a salesman, but if he were, I would hire him. As a career entrepreneur I've done a lot of it and I prefer the easy-going normal person to the hard sell. I'm not an easy sale, but John started work with no guarantee of how long it was going to be. He wound up at my house for the entire day and greatly changed the piano's personality. Since he's also certified and gives a certification certificate, should you go to sell your piano, all that's been done to it will greatly increase the value. Tim Parker2023-08-08WOW!! and WOW!! John spent an entire Saturday with me and my 1929 Mason and Hamlin parlor grand. It was such a wonderful and learning experience for me. He is coming back early next month. I haven’t played in a few years and his knowledge is really exceptional and I want to play again (not that I’m good) but his ministrations make make me want to re-learn how to play this beautiful instrument. I am so looking forward to his next visit. He is the person I wish myself to be. He is kind and gentle, and oh so knowledgeable. Truly a master craftsman and a very very good person..
